Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a well-established employer in the Corby area who is looking to appoint a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components

• Diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions

• Supporting planned and reactive maintenance activities

• Producing technical drawings, documentation, and reports

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry regulations

• Contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency projects

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment (preferred but not essential)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

• A proactive and reliable approach to work
