Year 1 Class Teacher - Southall, Ealing

Full-Time | Immediate Start or February Half Term | Long-Term

A large, established 3-form entry primary school in Southall is seeking a Year 1 Class Teacher to join their KS1 team on a long-term basis. This vacancy has arisen as the current class teacher has accepted a leadership opportunity at another school, creating a well-planned and supported transition for the incoming teacher.

The school has a strong reputation locally for consistency, clear expectations and good staff retention. Leadership is highly visible on a daily basis, and there is a clear emphasis on teamwork across year groups to ensure teachers are supported with planning, behaviour and workload.

The Role

  • Full-time Year 1 class teaching

  • Full responsibility for planning, marking and assessment

  • Working closely with parallel teachers and teaching assistants

  • Attending staff meetings, INSET days and parents' evenings

  • Supporting pupils with early literacy, phonics and transition from EYFS

Who They Are Looking For

  • QTS required

  • KS1 experience preferred, though strong ECTs are welcome

  • Confident with phonics and early behaviour routines

  • Reliable, organised and able to commit long-term
