ECT Year 3 Teacher - February Half Term Start
Full-time | Long-term role | Supportive ECT programme - Southall

A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Southall is seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their Year 3 team from February half term. This is a full-time, long-term position in a school that has a strong track record of developing ECTs and providing the right balance of support and independence.

The school is a 2-3 form entry mainstream primary with an established Key Stage 2 team and a clear, structured ECT induction programme in place. You would be joining a collaborative year group with shared planning, regular PPA time and access to experienced mentors. Senior leaders are visible, supportive and committed to staff development.

About the Role

  • Full-time Year 3 class teacher role starting February half term

  • Planning, teaching and assessing in line with the national curriculum

  • Working closely with parallel teachers to share planning and resources

  • Access to regular mentor meetings, ECT training and release time

  • Full class responsibilities including parents' evenings, staff meetings and INSET

This role would suit an ECT who is keen to continue developing their classroom practice in a school where support is genuinely built into the week.

Requirements

  • QTS (or due to qualify)

  • ECT status

  • Confident classroom presence and willingness to learn

  • Good subject knowledge across the KS2 curriculum

  • A positive, reflective approach to teaching
