Teaching Assistant - Northampton

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work within dynamic secondary schools across Northampton. Starting ASAP, these roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support students both academically and personally, while gaining valuable experience in a school setting.

This role would suit you if you are:

  • Returning to a classroom-based role

  • Passionate about supporting and motivating young people

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Providing targeted support to students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, including those with SEND

  • Supporting behaviour management strategies and maintaining positive classroom routines

  • Helping students develop confidence, independence, and engagement in learning

  • Playing an active role in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Enjoys working with young people and contributing to a collaborative school team

  • Communicates effectively with both students and staff

  • Brings patience, understanding, and enthusiasm to the classroom

  • Is flexible, proactive, and keen to develop new skills

  • Has experience in childcare, youth work, coaching, or support roles (beneficial but not essential)
