SANZA Teaching Agency are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic 2-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.
They are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic teaching assistant for their early years team to support key students in nursery with Autism.
The details:
- Full- time
- Term-time only
- 30am- 3.45pm
- Immediate start until July 2026 (likelihood of extension/permanency from September 2026)
Responsibilities:
- Supporting young learners (ages 3-4) with Autism
- Assisting with communication, social interaction and routines
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual developmental needs
- Encouraging independence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- You will work closely with class teachers, SEN specialists and families to ensure that each child receives personalised support that meets their individual needs.
About you:
- A warm, patient and empathetic nature
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant with SEN
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Previous experience with Autism
- Early years' experience or relevant childcare qualifications are a bonus
