This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to developing the next generation of agricultural professionals and contributing to a high-quality vocational learning environment.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated land-based studies department delivering engaging and industry-relevant teaching across a range of agriculture programmes. Courses may include Level 1-3 Agriculture, Countryside Management, or related land-based qualifications, depending on experience. You will play a key role in supporting learners to develop both practical skills and theoretical knowledge aligned with current industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in agriculture and related subjects
Assess student work accurately and provide constructive feedback
Support learners' academic progress, employability skills, and personal development
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
Engage with employers and industry partners where appropriate
Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and college activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A relevant qualification in Agriculture or a closely related subject
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or willingness to work towards one)
Experience working within agriculture or a land-based industry
A passion for vocational education and learner success
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience teaching in FE is desirable but not essential
