Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with this client, a diverse and forward-thinking 11-18 secondary school, to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a maternity cover position starting February. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community and inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Salary: London MPS
  • Working pattern: Full-time

As an Art Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire pupils to develop practical skills and artistic confidence.
  • Plan, prepare and assess high-quality lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Promote creativity, self-expression and high standards of work.
  • Contribute positively to the Art department and wider school life.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for Art and creative education.
  • Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Be well organised, adaptable and enthusiastic.
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Be committed to raising achievement and fostering creativity.

Applicants should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply).
