⏰ Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
📄 Contract: Long-term
💷 Pay: £90-£105 per day (PAYE)

Are you a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term role?

A warm, inclusive, and supportive primary school in Islington is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful progress.

About the role

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils across KS1 and KS2

  • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver IEPs and targeted interventions

  • Adapting learning resources to ensure lessons are accessible, engaging, and inclusive

  • Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, independence, and confidence

  • Supporting communication, sensory needs, and social skills development

  • Contributing to a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment

  • Monitoring progress and sharing observations with teaching staff and parents

About you

  • Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, ideally within KS1 and/or KS2

  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional needs

  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children
