Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

About the Position

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both academically and behaviourally. You will work closely with teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to learning while developing confidence and independence.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Supporting learning during whole-class teaching

  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support

  • Assisting students with additional learning needs

  • Supporting classroom behaviour and engagement

  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Monitoring student progress and wellbeing

  • Following safeguarding and school procedures
