Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work full-time across a range of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Southwark.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HLTA who is committed to supporting young people, enjoys working collaboratively with teaching staff, and is looking to grow professionally within a supportive school environment.
About the role:
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
Working across various secondary school settings in Southwark
Supporting learning across the curriculum, including delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required
Working with small groups and individual students to support academic progress and wellbeing
Contributing positively to behaviour management and inclusive classroom practice

The ideal candidate will:
Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience
Have experience working in secondary schools
Be confident leading learning and supporting whole classes
Demonstrate strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
Be committed to inclusion and supporting students from a range of backgrounds and abilities
