Are you interested in working with children with special needs in a purpose-built environment with the right support?
SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting for a wonderful special needs school in the London borough of Waltham Forest!
The school provides specialist support for students aged 2- 18 years with Autism and other more complex needs. It is a wonderful place to work, where children and staff are one big community!
About you:
- Must be patient, empathetic and resilient
- Have strong communication skills (with children, parents, and staff).
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Work well as part of a team
- Experience working with children, ideally those with special educational needs
- Understanding of different types of special educational needs
- Experience with specialist communication methods (e.g. Makaton, PECS, BSL, AAC devices) is desirable
- Willingness to assist with personal care needs where required (feeding, toileting, mobility assistance).
