Behaviour Mentor / Mental Health & Support Worker

This role focuses on supporting pupils' behaviour, wellbeing, and emotional regulation across primary phases in Bolton and Bury, working through Tradewind Recruitment.

Core responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to support behaviour regulation

  • Develop and deliver social-emotional learning interventions

  • Use restorative approaches to improve behaviour and relationships

  • Liaise with staff and families to ensure consistent support

  • Maintain records and contribute to pastoral meetings

  • Support transitions and reduce barriers to learning

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience or qualifications in behaviour support, mental health, youth work or similar

  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and child development

  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills

  • Calm, reflective, and proactive approach

  • Clear commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
