We are seeking an experienced Student Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive further education college in Hounslow.

Role Summary

You will work alongside lecturers to support students academically and pastorally, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• In-class support across college courses
• 1:1 and small group academic assistance
• Supporting learners with SEN and EHCPs
• Encouraging independence and engagement
• Supporting behaviour and classroom routines
• Monitoring progress and sharing feedback
• Following safeguarding and college policies

Requirements

• Previous student or classroom support experience
• Experience in a school, college, or education setting
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to support diverse learner needs
• Reliable and professional approach
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Working Pattern

• Full-time
• Monday to Friday
• Term-time college hours
