Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to be working with this Client, a highly regarded secondary school, to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher for a full-time maternity cover role starting March. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking school with a strong focus on academic success and student wellbeing. Interviews will be arranged immediately.

The Role

  • Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Assessing, tracking and supporting student progress
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced science department
  • Full time | Start date: March (maternity cover)

Job Role Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science education
  • Ability to engage and challenge students of all abilities
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

Qualifications & Person Specification

  • UK-recognised teaching qualification with QTS
  • Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 Science
  • Organised, adaptable and reflective practitioner
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student achievement
