Year 2 Teacher - Part-Time

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a 1-form entry primary school in Acton to recruit a Year 2 Teacher for a part-time, long-term role starting April 2026. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced or confident ECT who wants a flexible schedule while teaching in a supportive and well-structured school.

The Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for your class on your assigned 3 days
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum
  • Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet a range of abilities
  • Work closely with your TA to support all pupils, including any SEN needs
  • Attend relevant staff meetings, INSET, and parent consultations on your working days

The school is seeking a teacher who is adaptable, organised, and confident in managing a small Year 2 class while maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour.

Requirements

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Holds UK QTS
  • Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
  • Can differentiate effectively for mixed-ability learners
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is available for 3 days per week starting April 2026

Both experienced teachers and ECTs will be considered.
