Nursery Lead (Newly Opening Provision) | West Bradford / Clitheroe

Location: West Bradford (Near Clitheroe), Lancashire (BB7 area) Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum (Dependent on experience/qualifications) Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: 1st June 2026 (Founding Team Setup)

The Opportunity: Lead Our Early Years Launch

Are you a passionate Early Years practitioner ready to build a "gold-standard" nursery from the ground up? We are opening a brand-new Alternative Provision (AP) in West Bradford, Clitheroe, and we are seeking an inspirational Nursery Lead to head our early years phase.

Starting on 1st June 2026, you will be a founding member of our team. You will have a dedicated "pre-opening" window to design the nursery layout, select resources, and establish a nurturing, trauma-informed EYFS curriculum before our first little learners arrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Phase Leadership: Take full responsibility for the daily management and pedagogical direction of the nursery setting.

  • Environment Design: Work with the Headteacher during the June/July setup phase to create a therapeutic, sensory-rich learning space.

  • EYFS Excellence: Implement a high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage framework tailored for children with emerging additional needs or SEMH.

  • Family Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for parents and carers, building trust and stability from day one.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years is essential. (EYPS, EYTS, or QTS with Early Years focus is highly desirable).

  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience as a Room Leader, Deputy Manager, or Nursery Manager is preferred.

  • Specialist Mindset: An understanding of how to support early communication and emotional regulation in a specialised setting.

  • The "Blank Canvas" Energy: You must be excited by the prospect of a newly opening provision and ready to roll up your sleeves during the setup phase.

Why Join Our New Clitheroe Nursery?

  • Founding Member: You won't just be "running" a nursery; you will be creating one. Your ideas will shape our culture.

  • Professional Growth: As our provision expands, so will your role. We are committed to funded CPD and leadership pathways.

  • Beautiful Setting: Work in a calm, rural West Bradford location designed to support the well-being of both staff and children.

  • Strategic Start Date: Starting on 1st June 2026 ensures you are fully inducted and have the setting exactly how you want it before the September term begins.
