Main Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for KS5 teaching
Teach core topics such as programming (e.g. Python), algorithms, systems architecture, and digital literacy
Promote problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking through practical learning activities
Use digital tools and technology to enhance student engagement and achievement
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a dynamic and relevant Computing curriculum
Contribute to extracurricular opportunities, such as coding clubs, STEM activities, or technology competitions
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong knowledge of the Computing curriculum and a passion for digital education
Ability to deliver inclusive and differentiated lessons for students of all abilities
Strong classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills
A commitment to helping students develop practical computing and digital skills
A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a department
