Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for KS5 teaching

  • Teach core topics such as programming (e.g. Python), algorithms, systems architecture, and digital literacy

  • Promote problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking through practical learning activities

  • Use digital tools and technology to enhance student engagement and achievement

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a dynamic and relevant Computing curriculum

  • Contribute to extracurricular opportunities, such as coding clubs, STEM activities, or technology competitions

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong knowledge of the Computing curriculum and a passion for digital education

  • Ability to deliver inclusive and differentiated lessons for students of all abilities

  • Strong classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills

  • A commitment to helping students develop practical computing and digital skills

  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a department

  • Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced Computing teachers
