Salary: £92 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)


Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday during term time.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping to ensure that all learners are able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects

  • Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who require additional support

  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required

  • Helping maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting (desirable but not essential)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, supportive and adaptable approach to working with students

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • A passion for supporting young people in their learning and development


Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Ability to provide references covering the last two years
