Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEN School

We are looking for patient, compassionate and resilient individuals to join a welcoming secondary school supporting young people aged 11-19 with special educational needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of students who may have moderate learning difficulties, autism (ASD), and communication needs.
Working closely with teachers and the wider support team, you will help students access learning, build confidence, and develop important life skills that prepare them for independence, further education and employment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students in the classroom, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis
Help adapt learning activities so all students can access the curriculum
Encourage confidence, independence and social development
Support students with communication and emotional regulation
Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to provide the best possible support
Create a safe, positive and structured learning environment
