- Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and pastoral team to create tailored learning and behaviour support plans.
- Encourage engagement in lessons through reassurance, routine and relationship‑building.
- Support with social skills, emotional literacy, and therapeutic approaches used in school.
- Maintain clear communication with staff, external agencies and carers where appropriate.
- Contribute to a nurturing, stable and inclusive school environment.
We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children with behavioural, SEMH or trauma‑related needs (school or alternative settings).
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach.
- Strong behaviour management strategies and the ability to work with firm but fair boundaries.
- An understanding of attachment‑aware or trauma‑informed practice (training can be provided).
- Someone reliable, emotionally resilient and committed to helping vulnerable children thrive.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
What the School Can Offer
- A supportive and friendly staff team.
- Ongoing training in behaviour support, SEMH, safeguarding and trauma‑informed practice.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child's life every single day.
