Food Technician - Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Croydon | Secondary School

We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Food Technician to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Croydon on a full-time, five-day-per-week basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who is passionate about food education and enjoys supporting students and teachers in a practical learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for food technology lessons.

  • Support teachers during practical food preparation sessions.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in line with health and safety regulations.

  • Manage stock levels, order ingredients and equipment when required.

  • Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and stored appropriately.

  • Assist in maintaining hygiene standards and food safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a similar food preparation or educational support role.

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and food hygiene practices.

  • The ability to organise practical resources efficiently in a busy school environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive and reliable approach to supporting staff and students.

  • A relevant degree or qualification in food, nutrition, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
