SANZA Teaching Agency are supporting an excellent, vibrant primary school in Waltham Forest who are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to begin in April 2026.

About the role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work across all year groups from EYFS to year 6. You will take classes/cover lessons while class teachers are on their planning/preparation time each week. You will also do internal class cover for when/if any teachers are off sick/absent.

Further information:

• 13^th April start date until end of July
• High likelihood of contract from September 2026 for the whole academic year
• Full- time
• The school is located close to Leytonstone station (Central Line) and Leyon Midland Road (Overground/Suffragette Line)

About you:

• You will ideally hold a Higher level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification
• Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Must be flexible and adaptable as you will be moving/teaching across different classes each day
• You must have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport quickly
