Year 3/4 Teacher

Tradewind are recruiting an exceptional LKS2 Teacher for a maternity cover in a highly reputable school in Stockport.

On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are seeking a LKS2 teacher to lead a mixed Year 3 /4 class commencing April. The role is on a mat-cover basis, full-time and will pay MPS 1-6 reflecting the stage of your career. Both experienced teachers and ECT's can be considered.

Due to expansion, there are partner classes where planning will be shared to support best practice and you will also benefit from a full-time teaching assistant who is a long-standing member of staff who has strong relationships with the children. Whilst some learning is taught alongside schemes, you will also have the autonomy to design unique lessons that are creative, meet learning objectives and bring learning to life!

As the Year ¾ class teacher you will be expected to:

-Plan engaging and purposeful lessons geared around pupil interests with the opportunity to take learning to a mastery level

-Use both formative and summative assessment strategies to determine progress and assess the need for intervention

-Incorporate modern technology to enhance learning opportunities and allow for creativity in the classroom

-Deliver the broad and rich curriculum designed by the school with a focus on creative arts as well as core subjects.

-Use adaptive teaching methods to support children at varied learning levels with resources to both stretch and scaffold activities

-Be an excellent team member with a positive outlook to drive progress
