School Caretaker & Lettings Supervisor - Blackpool

Location: Blackpool (Large Secondary Academy)

Pay Rate: £18.26 per hour (AWR Protected - Pay to Scale from Day 1)

Shift: Monday - Friday | 14:00 - 21:00 (No Weekends)

Contract: Temporary (Starts March 27th - September 2026)

Are you a proactive Maintenance or Facilities professional looking for a premium-rate late shift? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a Site Caretaker & Lettings Supervisor to manage the facilities and community evening programs at a leading Blackpool Academy.

The Role: A Unique Hybrid

Unlike a standard caretaking role, this position offers a mix of Facilities Management and Community Interaction. You will be the "face of the school" during the afternoon and evening, ensuring the site remains safe, secure, and welcoming for both students and external hirers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lettings Management: Act as the primary point of contact for community groups; managing access and hall bookings.
Site Security: Lead the transition from the school day to evening use, completing a full, secure lock-up by 21:00.
Event Setup: Prepare the school hall, seating, and equipment for various evening events and community functions.
Maintenance & H&S: Perform reactive repairs and ensure all evening compliance checks meet safety protocols.
Team Coordination: Working alongside evening cleaning staff to ensure the school is "morning ready."

What You Need to Succeed

Experience: A background in Caretaking, Site Supervision, Facilities, or a skilled trade.
Communication: A professional, friendly manner to represent the school to the public and external hirers.
Dependability: The ability to work independently and take full responsibility for the evening site closure.
Practicality: A "can-do" approach to minor repairs and a solid understanding of Health & Safety.
