Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant - Kensington & Chelsea

We are currently looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist schools in Kensington & Chelsea.

These roles involve supporting children and young people with additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them stay engaged, build confidence, and access their learning in a supportive environment.

Every school is different, but all share a strong focus on inclusion, structure and providing the right support for each individual student.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students with SEN in and out of the classroom

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups to support learning and engagement

  • Managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation

  • Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils

  • Working closely with teachers and support staff

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, PRUs, care or youth settings)

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Confidence managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries

  • A proactive and flexible attitude

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their experience within SEN education, with opportunities across both long-term and daily supply roles.
