Job Description
SEMH Teacher - Flexible Teaching Roles
Flexible / Supply Work Across the South West
Tradewind Recruitment works with a wide range of specialist schools and alternative provisions across the South West. We are currently recruiting qualified teachers to work flexibly within SEMH and specialist settings, offering day-to-day supply as well as longer-term opportunities.
These roles are ideal for teachers seeking part-time, flexible or supply work rather than a permanent full-time position.
The Role

- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Trauma and attachment difficulties
- Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs

- Behaviour that challenges
Teaching typically takes place in small, supportive environments where relationship-building and emotional wellbeing are prioritised alongside academic progress.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS, QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience in SEMH, alternative provision, PRU or inclusive education (or a strong interest in the sector)
- Is confident adapting learning for pupils with additional needs
- Uses calm, consistent and relational behaviour approaches
- Values flexibility in their working pattern
Applications are welcomed from both primary and secondary trained teachers.
