SEN/SEMH Tutor - Alternative Provision

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN/SEMH Tutor to support children and young people in the Corby area.
This rewarding role involves working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing tailored academic and emotional support to help them achieve their potential.
The Role:
As an SEN/SEMH Tutor, you will:
- Deliver personalised learning sessions on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, anxiety, and behavioural challenges
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs and abilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Encourage engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with schools, parents, carers, and other professionals
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
- Possess strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Be patient, resilient, and adaptable
- Have experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or supporting vulnerable learners
- Hold a relevant qualification or background in education, youth work, care, or psychology (desirable)
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
