Salary: £160 - £230 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary to permanent potential

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant, 2-form entry primary school in Wigan. This position is to start as soon as possible and will continue into the September 2026 academic year, making it a fantastic opportunity for stability and long-term career progression.
This is a welcoming school with a strong community ethos, where parallel teachers plan collaboratively, ensuring workload is shared and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to the Year 2 curriculum.
Prepare pupils for their Key Stage 1 assessments with a supportive, low-pressure approach.
Work collaboratively with your parallel Year 2 partner teacher to plan and assess.
Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
Maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience is highly desirable).
A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative, 2-form entry environment.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
