Salary: £93 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary to permanent potential

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Reception Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful primary school in Leigh. This full-time position starts this June and, for the right educator, will continue into the new academic year in September 2026, offering excellent job security and the chance to truly embed yourself in a school community.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Work with small groups of children to develop early literacy, reading, and numeracy skills.
Assist with the implementation of phonics programmes (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle).
Nurture children's social and emotional development, helping them build confidence and independence.
Help create a safe, vibrant, and engaging classroom and outdoor learning environment.
Observe and record children's progress, sharing feedback with the class teacher.
What We Are Looking For:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent EYFS experience).
Proven experience working within a Reception class or nursery setting.
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and a passion for early childhood development.
Knowledge of early phonics schemes is highly desirable.
A warm, patient, and proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
