Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time position, with the school ideally looking to appoint permanently, although fixed-term contracts and long-term supply arrangements will also be considered.

The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 opportunities depending on experience. You will join a supportive Humanities department committed to delivering engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking.

The role will involve:

  • Teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage discussion and reflection
  • Supporting students of all abilities in a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the Humanities department to develop resources and curriculum content
  • Encouraging students to think critically about religion, ethics, and contemporary issues

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education
  • Be confident managing behaviour and creating a positive classroom environment
  • Be committed to inclusive teaching and high standards of learning
  • Be suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
