Maths Teacher - Daventry
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Start Date: June or September 2026
Full-Time | Permanent Preferred

A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Daventry is seeking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher to join its supportive and forward-thinking Maths department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a school that values high standards, teamwork, and student success across all ability levels.

Ideally permanent, although fixed-term contracts or long-term supply arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching available for suitable candidates)
  • Plan and deliver lessons that promote fluency, reasoning, and analytical thinking
  • Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners and support strong progress
  • Work collaboratively within a well-established and supportive Maths department
  • Contribute to the wider school community through intervention sessions, enrichment activities, or extracurricular opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching GCSE Maths
  • A passion for helping students develop confidence and enjoyment in Maths
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • ECTs are welcome to apply, with excellent mentoring and induction support available
