Job Description
SEN Teacher / Vocational Teacher
Silverstone & Surrounding Areas | September 2026 Start
Tradewind Recruitment
Are you an experienced Teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? Do you have the skills to engage learners who may have struggled in mainstream education and help them achieve success both academically and personally?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting passionate Teachers to work across specialist provisions, alternative provisions, SEMH schools, and SEND settings in Silverstone and the surrounding areas, including Towcester, Brackley, and nearby villages.
We are seeking qualified Teachers across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, ICT and vocational subjects such as Construction, Motor Vehicle, Engineering, Sport, Hair & Beauty, Catering, and Employability Skills. Many of our partner schools support pupils with SEMH, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, attachment needs, and other additional learning needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of individual learners while promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and independence. You will work closely with support staff, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external professionals to create a structured and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for teachers who enjoy building positive relationships, thinking creatively, and helping students overcome barriers to education.
Due to the rural locations of many of our partner schools, applicants will ideally hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant vocational teaching qualifications
- Have experience teaching in secondary, SEND, SEMH, alternative provision, or vocational settings
- Be confident adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Have a passion for supporting vulnerable learners and helping them achieve positive outcomes
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
Tradewind Recruitment offers:
- Competitive daily rates of pay
- Flexible supply, long-term and permanent opportunities
- Access to free CPD and professional development
- Dedicated support from an experienced education consultant
- Opportunities to work within rewarding specialist and alternative education settings
