School Caretaker - Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
Location: Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
Role: Flexible Hours/Work Through Summer Holidays/Immediate Start
We are looking for a practical, reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join our friendly team at a specialist SEN School in Beaconsfield.
You will help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Opening and securing the school site (key-holder duties)
- Responding to alarm activation when required
- Carrying out basic repairs, painting and maintenance tasks
- Building flat-pack furniture and moving equipment
- Conducting security checks and site patrols
- Assisting with fire, security and heating systems
- Replenishing site consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, etc.)
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance across the school
About You:
- Experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities or a similar role
- Practical DIY and repair skills
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Positive attitude and willingness to support a specialist school environment
