Role Overview

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping students access the curriculum and achieve their potential. You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning, engagement, and progress across a range of subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across different subject areas

  • Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support

  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources

  • Encourage student participation and confidence in learning

  • Support pupils who require additional academic or pastoral help

  • Contribute to maintaining positive behaviour and classroom routines

  • Help monitor student progress and report observations to staff

  • Take part in enrichment and wider school activities where appropriate

  • A degree from a Russell Group university (desirable)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education

  • A proactive, professional, and resilient attitude

  • Experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
