Job Description

SEND Teacher - Specialist Resource Provision (Mainstream Primary)

Tower Hamlets, East London

MPS1-MPS6 | £226-£268 per day (depending on experience)

Full-Time | September 2026 - July 2027

Shape the Future of an Outstanding Specialist Provision

Are you a passionate SEND teacher looking for a role where you can truly make a difference?

SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be working exclusively with a highly regarded, inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an exceptional SEND Teacher for September 2026.

Due to the outstanding success of its Specialist Resource Provision, the school is expanding and opening a second specialist class. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking school that has invested heavily in creating an exceptional learning environment for children with complex SEND.

This isn't a role where you'll be working in isolation. You'll become part of a dedicated specialist team, with excellent staffing ratios, strong leadership and genuine opportunities to shape the future of a provision that continues to go from strength to strength.

Why You'll Love Working Here

✔ A thriving Specialist Resource Provision entering its third successful year

✔ Developed in partnership with Phoenix School, ensuring outstanding SEND practice

✔ Small classes of no more than 10 pupils

✔ Outstanding staffing ratios with four experienced Teaching Assistants supporting every class

✔ Collaborative planning alongside another experienced SEND Teacher

✔ A genuinely inclusive mainstream school where every child is valued

✔ Supportive and approachable senior leaders who prioritise staff wellbeing and professional development

This opportunity has arisen through expansion rather than staff turnover-a reflection of the school's success and growing reputation.

About the Role

You'll lead a small class of pupils with complex SEND, delivering highly personalised learning that celebrates every achievement, however big or small.

Working alongside an experienced team, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons

Create a nurturing classroom where pupils feel safe, confident and successful

Work collaboratively with four dedicated Teaching Assistants

Partner with the parallel SEND Teacher to develop curriculum and share best practice

Support pupils' communication, social, emotional and academic development

Play a key role in the continued growth of this outstanding provision

The School

This welcoming Tower Hamlets primary is widely recognised for its inclusive ethos. Inclusion is not simply a policy-it underpins every aspect of school life.

Visitors consistently comment on the warm, calm atmosphere, the exceptional relationships between staff and pupils, and the genuine sense of teamwork across the school.

The leadership team is highly supportive, approachable and committed to helping staff flourish. Whether you're an experienced SEND practitioner or looking to further develop your expertise, you'll be joining a school that invests in its people.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has experience teaching children with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings

Believes every child can succeed with the right support

Is creative, patient and adaptable in their teaching

Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Has high expectations and a child-centred approach

Interested?

If you're looking for a rewarding teaching role where you'll be well supported, work alongside skilled colleagues and make a lasting impact on the lives of children with complex SEND, we'd love to hear from you.
