Level 2 Teaching Assistant - SEND

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive educational setting.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

You will support learning in the classroom, deliver targeted interventions, encourage independence, and help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Understands or is willing to learn trauma-informed and inclusive approaches to behaviour and learning.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
