Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a thriving Further Education college in Northampton to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Employability Coach on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping learners develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study. You will work closely with students from a variety of backgrounds, providing tailored guidance, coaching and practical employability support to help them achieve their career aspirations.

The Role

As an Employability Coach, you will:

• Deliver engaging one-to-one and group employability coaching sessions.
• Support learners with CV writing, job applications, interview preparation and job search techniques.
• Build positive relationships with students, employers and curriculum teams.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records of engagement and outcomes.
• Encourage the development of essential employability skills including communication, teamwork, time management and professionalism.
• Identify barriers to employment and provide appropriate support or signposting where required.
• Assist in organising employer engagement activities, careers events and work experience opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience working with young people or adults within education, training, careers or employability.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their goals.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• The ability to motivate, inspire and build positive relationships.
• Knowledge of employability skills, recruitment processes and the local labour market would be advantageous.
• A relevant qualification in careers guidance, education, coaching or youth work is desirable but not essential.
