The Role

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs

  • Supporting students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and other special educational needs (SEN)

  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and differentiated learning activities

  • Encouraging student confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom

  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students' emotional wellbeing throughout the school day

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting young people, particularly those with SEN

  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach

  • Builds strong relationships with students, staff, and parents through excellent communication skills

  • Is reliable, flexible, and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team

  • Experience in education, SEN, care, youth work, or a similar setting is desirable but not essential

  • Is enthusiastic about learning new skills and developing a long-term career within education
