We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its permanent team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced staff, support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and develop your career within a supportive school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects

  • Working with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and improve confidence

  • Providing additional support for pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional learning needs

  • Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour

  • Helping students develop independence, resilience, and engagement with their learning

  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Is enthusiastic, patient, and approachable

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Is reliable, proactive, and works well as part of a team

  • Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

  • Has experience working with young people through education, childcare, coaching, youth work, or care settings (desirable but not essential)
