Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Preferred | Long-Term Supply or Fixed-Term Contract Considered
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes that is looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. The school is ideally looking to recruit on a permanent basis, although long-term supply and fixed-term contracts will also be considered for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a nurturing primary school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2

  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development

  • Providing additional support for pupils with SEND or additional learning needs where required

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and social development

  • Assisting with classroom preparation, resources and daily routines

  • Supporting positive behaviour and promoting a love of learning
