We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes that is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a fantastic full-time, permanent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality support and creating engaging learning experiences for children in the early stages of their education.
The school offers a caring and supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop key skills, and build strong foundations for future learning through play, creativity, and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) across the primary school setting
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Provide support through play-based learning, group activities, and targeted interventions
- Encourage children's communication, language, social, emotional, and physical development
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to support their confidence and independence
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with EYFS expectations
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children with additional needs, working closely with the SENDCo and wider school team where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and support children's emotional development
- Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and daily routines
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to promote children's success
Who We're Looking For:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Experience working within a nursery, preschool, reception, or early years primary school setting
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with young children and families
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning through play and exploration
- A reliable, proactive, and adaptable attitude
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willingness to apply)
