Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about working with young people? We're looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Leicester from August 2026.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with transferable experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences. You'll deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and focused throughout the school day.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson plans.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Encouraging student participation and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with their learning while promoting high expectations.
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of secondary-aged students.
• A calm, professional, and adaptable approach.
• Experience working with young people in education, coaching, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings (desirable but not essential).
• A genuine passion for supporting students and schools.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Two professional references covering recent employment or study.
