The Role

As a Psychology Graduate, you'll work closely with pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, and social support. You'll play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils who have SEMH needs.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Helping create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Working alongside teachers, SEN professionals, and pastoral staff to support individual learning plans.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • An interest in pursuing a career in education, psychology, or mental health.
