SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who require additional support to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will help create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported, valued, and able to succeed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence, and engagement.
• Supporting behaviour management and emotional wellbeing.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote pupil progress.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
• Be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
• Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential.
• Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
