Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney
Salary: £95-£110 per day
Start Date: September 2026

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming secondary school in Hackney seeking an energetic and committed Teaching Assistant to support students across a variety of curriculum areas.

This is an ideal opportunity for graduates, experienced Teaching Assistants or individuals from youth work, coaching or mentoring backgrounds looking to move into education.

Your Role

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Work alongside students who require additional support.
  • Deliver structured intervention programmes.
  • Encourage participation and classroom engagement.
  • Promote positive behaviour and excellent attendance.
  • Help prepare learning resources.
  • Record observations and communicate student progress.
  • Support extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people.
  • Be confident building positive relationships.
  • Demonstrate patience and resilience.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding children.
