Teaching Assistant | Full-Time Secondary School Opportunity

A secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday. The position is available upon successful completion of clearance and will run until the end of the current term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an active role in supporting their education, confidence and development.

What You Will Be Doing

As part of the school team, you will:

  • Support students during lessons and help them stay focused and engaged

  • Provide additional assistance to individuals and small groups

  • Work closely with teaching staff to support learning activities

  • Encourage students to participate and develop their independence

  • Help promote positive behaviour and good classroom routines

  • Provide encouragement and reassurance to students who may need additional support

  • Assist with preparing learning activities and classroom resources

  • Contribute to a calm, inclusive and positive school environment

Who Would Suit This Role?

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people

  • Ideally, experience within a secondary school or similar educational setting

  • A confident and approachable manner

  • The ability to communicate effectively with students and staff

  • Patience, resilience and a positive attitude

  • Good classroom awareness and the ability to follow instructions

  • A genuine commitment to helping students succeed

  • Reliability and the ability to work full-time, 5 days per week
