Join a Secondary School Team - Teaching Assistant | Hounslow

A great opportunity has become available for a motivated Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary school in Hounslow.

We are seeking someone who is dependable, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoys helping young people reach their potential. The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff to provide valuable classroom support and help create a positive environment where students can learn and progress.

Start: Upon successful clearance
Duration: Until the end of the current term
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
Setting: Secondary school

Your Contribution

You will be an important part of the school's day-to-day support team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with their classwork and learning activities

  • Working with teachers to ensure students receive appropriate assistance

  • Providing one-to-one or small-group support when needed

  • Helping students remain focused and motivated

  • Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning

  • Supporting students who may experience barriers to learning

  • Promoting positive behaviour and respectful relationships

  • Helping maintain an orderly and inclusive classroom environment

  • Building constructive relationships with students and staff

What You Need

The school is looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people

  • Ideally, experience in a school or educational environment

  • Good communication skills and a professional manner

  • The confidence to work with secondary-aged students

  • Patience, enthusiasm and a positive approach

  • The ability to establish appropriate boundaries with students

  • A strong work ethic and reliable attendance

  • The flexibility and commitment to work 5 days per week

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
