SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time | 5 Days Per Week | Hounslow

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity within a supportive secondary school?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Hounslow, working 5 days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous school-based experience who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their potential.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional needs.

  • Supporting students to access the curriculum and participate in lessons.

  • Working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

  • Helping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.

  • Supporting students with their social, emotional and educational development.

  • Adapting your approach to meet individual student needs.

  • Providing encouragement and reassurance to students throughout the school day.

  • Supporting classroom routines and contributing to a positive learning environment.

What You Must Have

To be considered, you must have:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting.

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or additional needs.

  • A patient, nurturing and supportive approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students.

  • A reliable and professional attitude.

  • A valid DBS or willingness to complete the required safeguarding checks.
