Geography Teaching Opportunities
Our partner schools regularly require passionate Geography Teachers who can inspire students to understand the world around them and develop strong geographical knowledge and enquiry skills.
Depending on the individual school and opportunity, you may be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Preparing students for GCSE Geography examinations where required.
- Developing students' geographical knowledge, understanding and enquiry skills.
- Creating stimulating lessons that bring geographical concepts to life.
- Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
- Assessing student progress and providing effective feedback.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
- Building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Working collaboratively as part of a successful Humanities or Geography department.
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Geography Teacher
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- QTS or recognised equivalent teaching status.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging lessons.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for Geography and helping young people understand the world around them.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
