This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and helping students achieve their full potential.

The Role:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and English department.
  • Supporting students in achieving strong outcomes and developing confidence in their literacy skills.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
